Notice on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries
Among other things, we use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these third countries. We point out that no level of data protection comparable to that of the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are required to release personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence services) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 (1) LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION UNDER ART. 21 (1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION UNDER ART. 21 (2) GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, Deletion, and Correction
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data at any time. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defense, or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
SSL or TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as site operators. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to Advertising Emails
The use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation to send advertising and information materials not expressly requested is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our internet pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your terminal device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your terminal device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them yourself or automatic deletion is carried out by your web browser.
Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Which cookies and services are used on this website can be found in this privacy policy.
Cookie Consent
This website uses its own cookie consent solution to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your terminal device or to the use of certain technologies, and to document this in a data protection-compliant manner.
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner will be displayed where you can give or deny consent for different cookie categories:
- Necessary Cookies: These cookies are required for the operation of the website and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics Cookies: These cookies help us understand and improve the use of our website.
- Marketing Cookies: These cookies are used to make advertising more relevant to you.
Your consent is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). No personal data is transferred to third parties in this process. You can change or revoke your consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
Consent is obtained to collect the legally required approvals for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR.
Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2 to communicate your cookie preferences to Google services (such as Google Ads). By default, all consent categories are set to "denied". Only after your explicit consent are the corresponding services activated.
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Tag Manager is a tool that enables us to integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies, and does not perform any independent analyses. It serves solely for the management and deployment of the tools integrated through it.
The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on its website. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
For more information on Google Tag Manager, please visit: https://www.google.com/intl/en/tagmanager/use-policy.html.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email, Phone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular legal retention periods – remain unaffected.
Communication via WhatsApp
For communication with our customers and other third parties, we use, among other things, the instant messaging service WhatsApp. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the communication content. However, WhatsApp gains access to metadata generated during the communication process (e.g., sender, recipient, and time). We also point out that WhatsApp states that it shares personal data of its users with its US-based parent company Meta. Further details on data processing can be found in the WhatsApp privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.
The use of WhatsApp is based on our legitimate interest in the fastest and most effective communication possible with customers, prospects, and other business and contract partners (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, data processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of the consent; this can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
The communication content exchanged between us on WhatsApp will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
We use WhatsApp in the "WhatsApp Business" variant.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-data-transfer-addendum.
We have configured our WhatsApp accounts so that there is no automatic data comparison with the address book on the smartphones in use.
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the above-mentioned provider.

Audio and Video Conferences
Data Processing
For communication with our customers, we use, among other things, online conference tools. The tools we use in detail are listed below. When you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the Internet, your personal data is collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.
The conference tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (email address and/or your phone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants, and other "context information" related to the communication process (metadata).
Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and type of connection.
If content is exchanged, uploaded, or otherwise provided within the tool, this is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared during use of the service.
Please note that we do not have complete influence over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conference tools can be found in the privacy policies of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.
Purpose and Legal Bases
The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contract partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, the use of the relevant tools is based on this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
Storage Duration
The data directly collected by us via the video and conference tools is deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.
We have no influence on the storage duration of your data that is stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.
Conference Tools Used
We use the following conference tools:

Own Services
Handling Applicant Data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, by post, or via an online application form). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions, and your data is treated in strict confidence.
Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
When you submit an application to us, we process the personal data associated with it (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given consent – Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data is only passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship in our data processing systems.
Data Retention Period
If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer, or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have sent on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data is then deleted and the physical application documents are destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also take place if you have given appropriate consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) or if legal retention obligations preclude deletion.
Inclusion in the Applicant Pool
If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool to contact you in case of suitable vacancies.
Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and has no relation to the ongoing application process. The data subject can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool unless there are legal retention reasons.
The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
OneDrive
We have integrated OneDrive on this website. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland (hereinafter "OneDrive").
OneDrive enables us to integrate an upload area on our website where you can upload content. When you upload content, it is stored on OneDrive servers. When you enter our website, a connection to OneDrive is also established so that OneDrive can determine that you have visited our website.
The use of OneDrive is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in a reliable upload area on its website. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that it processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
